🦾 Life in our team:

You will join the financial team, made up of 7 colleagues plus the financial director of the entire department. Within the team, currently, there is no one to manage these tasks so you will have full responsibility for them. You will work hand in hand and report to the financial director, in these areas:

  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements by generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
    • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary financial data for reporting purposes.
  • Consolidation:
    • Manage the consolidation process for multiple entities, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial results.
    • Implement and maintain consolidation systems to streamline the reporting process.
    • Address intercompany transactions and reconciliations to guarantee proper consolidation.
  • Compliance:
    • Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Work closely with auditors during financial audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules.
    • Work together with the Finance Director and other Finance Managers to provide evidence to the Group’s internal audit team for J-SOX testing.
  • Analysis and Insights:
    • Provide financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
    • Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement in financial performance.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Continuously assess and enhance reporting and consolidation processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Implement best practices and recommend improvements to financial systems.

🔎 What we are looking for:

❗Please keep in mind that, although we would love to meet you, to proceed with your application, a valid working permit for Spain is needed❗

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the Big Four.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, consolidation, and analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and financial reporting software.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Business Central is a plus).
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (you will have weekly meetings with stakeholders in Japan).

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
