CODE OF CONDUCT FOR SUPPLIERS
1. Definitions
Connect Next Group: shall mean Connect Next Pte. Ltd. or any of its subsidiaries, regardless of its location.
2. Applicability
This policy applies to all providers of the Connect Next Group.
This Policy is not applicable to providers of Connect Next Group’s ultimate parent companies (including Lifull Co.Ltd. or any of its Japanese subsidiaries).
3. Purpose of the Document
This Code outlines the fundamental principles and standards that suppliers of Connect Next Group must adhere to, in compliance with European Union (EU) regulations and international best practices. By entering into a business relationship with Connect Next Group, suppliers agree to abide by the provisions of this Code of Conduct.
4. Principles
4.1 Legal Compliance
Suppliers must operate in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards in the countries where they operate, as well as adhere to international legal standards where relevant.
4.2 Human and Labor Rights
Suppliers must respect and protect the human rights of all individuals affected by their operations.
● Child Labour: Suppliers must not employ workers under the legal age of employment in the relevant country.
● Forced Labour: Suppliers must not use forced, bonded, or involuntary labour. All employment must be voluntary and
freely chosen.
● Health and Safety: Suppliers must provide workers with a safe and healthy workplace, taking all necessary steps required to ensure prevention or mitigation of injury or accidents that may arise from the course of their work.
● Non-Discrimination: Suppliers must provide a workplace free of discrimination and harassment based on race, ethnic origin, gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other basis prohibited by applicable law.
● Freedom of Association: Suppliers must respect the rights of workers to freely associate, join trade unions, and engage in collective bargaining, in accordance with local laws.
● Harassment and Abuse: Suppliers must treat each worker with dignity and respect and not use corporal punishment, threats of violence, or other forms of physical, sexual, psychological, or verbal harassment or abuse. Special attention should be paid to vulnerable groups.
4.3 Environmental Responsibility
Suppliers are expected to act responsibly in terms of environmental protection and sustainability.
● Resource Efficiency: Suppliers must strive to use resources efficiently, minimise waste, and reduce their environmental
footprint.
● Hazardous Materials: Suppliers must handle hazardous materials responsibly to avoid environmental contamination
and ensure safe disposal.
4.4 Business Integrity
Suppliers must uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct in their business operations.
● Anti-Corruption: Suppliers must not engage in any form of corruption, extortion, embezzlement, or bribery. All business dealings should be transparent, and suppliers must maintain accurate records.
● Fair Competition: Suppliers must not engage in anti-competitive practices such as price-fixing or market allocation.
● Confidentiality: Suppliers must protect the confidentiality of sensitive information related to Connect Next Group and its customers, and must not use such information for any unauthorised purposes.
● Business and Financial records: Both the supplier and Connect Next Group must keep accurate records of all matters related to the supplier’s business with Connect Next Group. This includes the proper recording of all expenses and
payments.
4.5 Data Protection and Privacy
Suppliers must comply with all relevant data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), if applicable.
● Data Security: Suppliers must implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the security of personal data processed on behalf of Connect Next Group.
● Data Use: Suppliers must only process personal data as instructed by Connect Next Group, and must not use the data for any other purposes.
4.6. Supply Chain Management
Suppliers are responsible for ensuring that their own suppliers and subcontractors also comply with the principles outlined in this Code of Conduct, and conduct regular audits.
5. Monitoring and Compliance
Connect Next Group reserves the right to monitor and audit suppliers’ compliance with this Code of Conduct.
Suppliers must promptly report any suspected violations of this Code of Conduct to Connect Next Group.
6.Consequences of Non-Compliance
Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in the termination, with cause, of the business relationship with Connect Next Group, along with any applicable legal consequences.
7.Reporting potential Misconduct
Suppliers who believe that an employee of Connect Next Group, anyone acting on its behalf, or any related third party has engaged in illegal or otherwise improper conduct, should report the matter to the Company. 8.Monitoring and Review
Suppliers are encouraged to continuously improve their operations and align with best practices in ethical, social, and environmental responsibility.
This Code of Conduct shall be reviewed and updated periodically to ensure it remains aligned with current legal requirements and industry standards.
